The Second Annual English Month Speech Choir

speeeeeeccchh choiiiirr!!!

yepp, today (let's pretend it's december 13 today) would be the grand finals of our annual English month speech chior contest. The constant nagging of Inah and, yeah, Inah, and the pain of being nagged--- is finally over.

The only reason i look forward for this day is that-- i could strut my make-up skills!! yeah! Sounds like a bit too girly or something, but i love it so much for the sake of art. i like how the colors beautifully (and amazingly) blend with the human skin. (Ahh.. the art of makeup). I'll also creates weird pattern as for the face paint. Our theme is like weirdish scary. But i feel awkward in the end seeing it's not scary!!

here's a pic of the process (of making a clown!?~)

L-R Ferry, Pauline, and moi (Ferry's like 'hey!)

Here' the tip: I used non-lead water colors (suuuper thanks to Ma'am Shelly, she provided us the materials) and I used my brush set (moi most precious ones!), of different thicknesses. I mixed it with water (do'oh) , but more of it, since it would be hard to take it off if it's pure. But before the dirty job, I asked them to put protective creams (i advise them to use Pond's detox, so tender in your skin.. :) ), because the 'lead-free' promotions won't guarantee that it would cause irritations and blemishes! It's still paint for paper and not for skin or face (man, at least ma'am would be very kind to waste money for the expensive face paints!).

I started with the eyes, but first I let them put the eyeliner, since Iv'e already had a traumatic experience in this field, poking an eye! eeeek!! Bloomy colors then striking it with mettalic gray, was stunning. It was like a rocker whatever themed!! haha, but it became funny when i put the vigorous face paint. i somehow connected the colors of the eyeshadow into it, resulting, it wasn't that scary. but i think it's okay since it appeared more of weirdish, toughy and futuristic.

before the event, we'll always have a serious pic! but it looks like one smiled... butthead, it's Milo. Now my perfect 'shush' pose is ruined!!

with our beloved Ma'am Shelly, but heck~ i was not s-seen?! (leftmost)
shot at II-Garnet's room

stunning, huh? it's from the elimination. See moi from the left? Now that's hot!! we're like chanting, and the people kneeling we're kinda dead, shocked or something. Better ask our Director.

Then it was all over.

We expected that we wont win IN THE FINALS because, holy shrimp, the juniors and seniors were so expert at it.

They.

always.

win.

But I'm so sorry I can't bare sharing my thoughts about their performance. It hurts us. And embarasses us. AAAAHH!! Too much mortifying. Charmained even joked to burn all the stuff that would remind us of this speech choir. I laughed, but I'll never do that. This make-up thing, I hope, would always be remembered. The compliments I got, on how I felt rising from the ground, and on how I, atlast, appreciated my own work. Before, I was the one who'll always first criticize my work, which will result of me feeling bad and not doing my very best.....

It was all over- but at least taking a pic before we take it off. (Merlyn, moi and Lea)

....but today, I felt amazing.
